My strengths and weaknesses as a writer, Off the Wall, strengths and weaknesses in writing examples.3/28/2017 Second, I have never really enjoyed writing. I just tried to make the best of it when I was forced to endure it. It seems I have a tendency to focus on the tasks I enjoy doing most and turning away from the difficult ones. I feel if I take care of the "easy stuff" I can get more done. This is why I save the hardest for last. Now that I have returned to college, my hardest task has become my first chore. Can you see the irony? Last but not least, reading. Don't get me wrong I enjoy reading topics I enjoy, such as the news or good science fictions novels. My issue is with all of the dry textbooks that are required reading of in every English class. I will be back up to a pot of coffee every day just trying to make it through chapter one. My greatest strength as a writer is my ability to find evidence to support my arguments. I also try to think of all the counterarguments to my position so that I can find evidence against them. For example in the fast food essay I did outside research to support my arguments. I also tried to think of the opposing arguments to everything I was stating and think of ways that I could prove them wrong. I believe this has always been one of my strengths, but I never really noticed it until I attended lecture by the authors of They say, I say. I will continue to utilize this strength in my upcoming paper. My greatest strength as a writer is sentence structure. Firstly, my sentences never start with the same word or phrase. The reader pays more attention if sentences are interesting example introduction of essay, and that means using compound sentences, figurative language, and an appropriate tone. I avoid using expletives and wordy sentences with that and redundant word. For instance pro con essay topics, I write concisely and prudently to enunciate a point. My greatest strength as a writer is my ability to handle arguments, whether it be creating my own argument, or to pick apart an opposition. In general this helps me to produce a great thesis that slowly degenerates as the paper goes. In the they say I say paragraphs I was able to use my keen analytical skills to break down what the author was saying then form a reasonable, and intuitive thesis. I think the best way for me to build on this strength would involve becoming more consistent in my writing. For example in many papers ill start off strong with a good argument, and as the paper drags on the quality of my arguments begin to dwindle. What I would like to do ideally is take the fervor I put into constructing and argument, and keep that momentum going through the rest of my paper. This would require me to fix my greatest strength being starting earlier. So that I can have all that energy every time I start a new paragraph. My greatest strength as a writer tends to be articulation. Most of the time, I am good at manipulating language to get my point across. In fact, articulation and syntax are probably my favorite parts of the writing process. While I do not much enjoy gathering information and finding something to say about it, I really enjoy figuring out creative and beautiful ways in which to say it, and I think that shows in many of my papers. Most of the time, I get writing assignments back with comments like "Good articulation!" and "Beautifully Written!" The best way to improve this strength would be to work on my greatest weakness essay edit, procrastination. If I have more time to work on a paper, I will be able to more carefully consider which words to choose, and in what order to put them. Writing takes time and dedication. Is it easy? No, it’s not. Is it difficult? Writing is only as difficult as you want it to be. I don’t have all the answers when it comes to writing. Writing is a skill that you learn and it’s a journey. Like all things in life there will be hardships. You can’t give up when things get tough. The same belief applies with writing. Not everyone has a gift or an inborn talent for writing. That’s okay, writing is not for everyone. Distractions are never fun when it comes to writing. Nothing hinders your writing more than not concentrating. I’ve mentioned before that life can distract you. However certain situations such as school and work are not the case. The distractions I’m referring here are noise from other people essay writing topics zoo, television, and the internet and outside environment. My writing space is a huge distraction. I’ve recently changed it because I’ve had problems concentrating. My chair, a steel chair to be clear, is a fairly old one. As someone who loves to write I have plenty of weaknesses. To start, I occasionally make grammatical errors. I know it’s common with a lot of writers. I, on the other hand sample of reflective essay in social work, write, type and think too fast to the point where I don’t catch my mistakes. I get too absorbed in my writing and I manage to a lot of mistakes. Along with grammatical errors how to write a good application essay, run on sentences are my greatest weakness. That paper gave me the skills to be able to write more details examples. Also I was able to give more detailed and vivid sentences. Writing that paper made me realize that I have a lot more weaknesses in writing than I do strengths. I know that I can now create more vivid explanations in everything that I write from now on. That allowed me to improve as a writer because I can create more detailed examples in all my writing. Also when I write an intro the opening sentence is difficult for me because it’s hard to figure out how to make an opening statement. It’s hard for me to develop an opening statement that would get the reader to be interested in my paper. I feel my opening statement has improved because I took this class and that it is a little bit easier for me to write a thesis statement.
